30 Awesome Behind The Scenes Shots From Famous Movies

March 25th, 2013 by Lina | No Comments | Filed in Design

Have you ever noticed how you believe everything you see in a dream no matter how unrealistic it is? Interestingly, the same applies to movies. Sometimes we get carried away by a movie so much that a flying man, a wizard or talking aliens don’t look strange at all.

However, it doesn’t mean that the audience will eat whatever they are fed. Creating believable illusions is harder than it might look. For those who are interested, most of the movie DVDs feature the behind-the-scenes section, showing how the creators managed to deceive you. Even then, however, you seldom get to see the ‘true’ making of the film.

To fill that gap, sobadsogood shared some fantastic behind-the-scenes photos from famous movies. We liked that list so much that we thought to add a couple more and share it with you!

1. Ghostbusters

2. Terminator

3. Star Wars

4. Inception

5. Back to the Future

6. Stanley Kubrick with his daughter on The Shining

7. Django Unchained

8. Planet of the Apes

9. The Godfather: Fish-line Bullet Holes

10. Titanic

P.S.: the re-release of Titanic in 3D revealed that there was enough place for both of them on that floating door.

11. The Lord of The Rings

12. The Muppet Movie

13. The Dark Knight

14. The Hobbit

15. E.T.

16. Superman

Back to The Future with Irina Werning (Part II)

January 23rd, 2012 by Bored Panda | No Comments | Filed in Design

Do you remember Irina Werning and her cool project called “Back to The Future” we’ve posted earlier? Well, it appears that Irina hasn’t stopped there and released the part II of her series.

A photographer born in Buenos Aires takes someone’s old photo and recreates the same old scene with the same person many years later. While it might not sound too complicated, she is unbelievably accurate – it seems that she just found some old and young look-alikes and shot two pictures on the same day.

“I love old photos. I admit being a nosey photographer. As soon as I step into someone else’s house, I start sniffing for them. Most of us are fascinated by their retro look but to me, it’s imagining how people would feel and look like if they were to reenact them today… A few months ago, I decided to actually do this. So, with my camera, I started inviting people to go back to their future..by the way, this project made me realize I’m a bit obsessive…” says the artist.

  • About us

It was in the back corner of McDonalds with a couple of hours to wait for a train home to Norwich, that theDot first came together. Freshly inspired by a weekend at the 4designers conference in London and having traipsed around museums and exhibitions all day, three minds came together over chicken burgers and chips.

The three are currently studying Graphic Communication at Norwich University College of the Arts, where they delve into advertising, corporate branding, design for publishing, photography, illustration and so on. All confident in their skills, but continuing on their learning journey.

We are a new design group hoping to achieve great things

    Meet some of our friends.
