This incredible shot of a man feeding swans and ducks was taken by a Polish photographer Marcin Ryczek in Krakow. It’s like yin and yang – the snowy side of the picture has a little bit of dark, and the dark water has white swans. Absolute perfection! (via)

A Boy Chained His Bike When He Went to War in 1914

December 21st, 2012 by Tomas | No Comments | Filed in Design

Actually, this title posted yesterday on imgur was incorrect. As some commenters pointed out, the bicycle was in fact left behind in the mid-1950s by a local resident who simply abandoned it. Interestingly, “the tree that ate a bicycle” on Washington’s Vashon Island has even inspired a Berkeley Breadthed’s 1994 book, Red Ranger Came Calling. Hair of the Silence: Ear Plugs

October 3rd, 2012 by Tomas | No Comments | Filed in Design

Sometimes simple ear plugs are just not enough. If you crave for complete silence, you also need to make people stop wanting to talk to you. Luckily, a savvy Lithuanian couple Solveiga and Alfredas Kriviciai created the “Hair of the silence” earplugs. Once put in your ears, they look like a naturally-grown bush. Besides making you deaf for the moment, they also work as a repellent chasing away all the chatty people.

  • About us

It was in the back corner of McDonalds with a couple of hours to wait for a train home to Norwich, that theDot first came together. Freshly inspired by a weekend at the 4designers conference in London and having traipsed around museums and exhibitions all day, three minds came together over chicken burgers and chips.

The three are currently studying Graphic Communication at Norwich University College of the Arts, where they delve into advertising, corporate branding, design for publishing, photography, illustration and so on. All confident in their skills, but continuing on their learning journey.

We are a new design group hoping to achieve great things

    Meet some of our friends.
